In 1968, Orange Tree became a mainstay in Jacksonville, Florida. Carolyn and Peter Koppenberger were the founders and created this Jacksonville tradition. They started with hot dogs and pizza, and we continue this great simplistic vision today. The company still remains in the same family, owned and operated by their daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Frank Roeber, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amy and Shawn.
Our reputation for a clean, inexpensive, efficient, great quality, family environment is continued after all these years.
We have customers that can remember when they could not see over the counter and are now bringing their children here to eat. We may not know your name when you come in, but you can bet we probably know what hot dog and pizza you like to eat. Whether it is a crispy cheese pizza, regular pepperoni pizza, or one of our hot dogs, everyone has their favorite!

The combinations are virtually endless. The secret recipes, for many of our toppings, that we began with, are still untouched. Our name was created from an orange drink that Peter created. It is called an Orange Frost. Again, another secret recipe that is still in use.
